Hi all,
I don't know what I'm doing wrong,
on one mac I have set DVD sharing to be on and on the second mac the disk doesn't appear.
Apples website says for Macs without an optical drive - this Mac has a CD Rom drive and I need to be able to access a DVD directly to play a game.
This isn't just for MacBook Airs is it?

If you want to use your DVD-drive to be able to play a game, you can try the following: In your :apple: -> System Preferences -> Sharing turn "file sharing" on, and then right-click on your DVD icon in the side-bar in finder. Choose "Get Info" and check the "use as share foleder" (or something like that) in the Info window. That will allow you to use the contents of your dvd from another computer.
However, the question of actually using the DVD-drive as if it were a normal dvd-drive remains open.
As for me, I have a MacBook with a combo-drive and an iMac with a super-drive and would like to burn dvds from my laptop. Does anyone know how i can do that?
Thank you in advance.

DVD Sharing is only on The Air.
