Dock on top monitor?

This is the arrangement of my displays:

What I want to do is have the dock on the bottom of the top monitor. However, when I set the dock to bottom, it goes to the bottom of the bottom monitor. The only way to have the dock on the top monitor (which is my main one) is to place it on the side.

Anybody know a way to get around this?
 
It doesn't seem like that would be possible. That would put the dock technically in the middle of the desktop as far as the OS is concerned wouldn't it since both screens are combined into one big desktop?
