New Macbook (2.4ghz 2gb RAM) Half Life 2? All I, and many others want to know. How does it run? What are the best settings? Are any special measures needed to make this title run as best as possible? Thank you

Plain and simple, it won't run amazing because of the integrated graphics card. Some have said it runs fine and others say it runs horribly. If you really plan on gaming with your portable, go with the MacBook Pro. I however do not game that much on my MacBook Pro, it is for work/school. When I was experimenting with games under Windows on a friends MacBook, I found most games did not run very well. My Pro however handled them greatly because of the dedicated 8600M. So please go Pro if you plan on gaming.

And if I'm not mistaken do the new MacBooks not use the same integrated chip set as the previous generation? I know the ones before had a GMA950, but last gen has the same as the current generation I believe. So this question has most likley been asked before.

I've got a 2.2GHz Santa Rosa MacBook with 1GB of Ram and it runs perfectly fine. You just have to run it in DirectX 8.1 instead of 9.0. The new X3100 graphics card that comes with the new MacBooks is much better than the old GMA950. I get around 45 FPS at 1280x800 resolution and all settings at high.

That's still pretty bad seeing as I get over 100 FPS on 1440x900 :p

I found this cool Wiki article comparing the different Intel Graphics Chipsets:

Glad I got the MacBook with the X3100! :p
