Hello, all.
I am currently student teaching and have been filming some of my lessons. Normally, I import the videos into imovie (I have both 06 and 08) from my cooperating teacher's mini DV camera and then export them as much smaller files (using Quicktime at 320X240 and pretty low quality).
My MBP's hard drive is starting to get pretty full. Yesterday, I imported about an hour's worth of video, which took up around 12GB. Once I export them as smaller files, I have of course been throwing away the original videos to reclaim space, but it's SO time consuming!
Is there an easier way?
I don't think Image Capture recognizes his video camera.
I also have Compressor and Quicktime Pro. Perhaps there is a way to make something in Automator that will automatically convert the video as it's imported and throw the original away for me?
Thanks for your help!
