I have a g4 iMac with 10.4.11. Earlier this week i tried to open Safari and it opened to the browser for a couple of seconds then crashed. When it opened to the browser, the homepage would not come up, and the address field was empty. It stays this way for about5 seconds then crashes and i get the crash report. Not really sure what to post on the error report though and its pretty long so here is the first part.

So mine did a similar thing yesterday as did many others- many complained of it happening after visiting espn.com...which I did also.

I have been using FireFox since last night.

After restarting my computer, resetting safari multiple times, etc it never worked. Safari would open, but the links in the menubar would just darken, but no links would open. It never worked for me last night or first thing this morning. I couldn't even change the preferences which some recommended doing in the thread linnk below - see if something in this thread corrects your issus...

However, I just tried safari right now and it seems to work fine now. NOt sure why it works now- didn't do anything different than I did this morning or last night???
