Today I jailbroke my iPhone for the first time using ziphone and am now wondering what the best apps out there are. Does anyone have some suggestions or sources I may not know about? Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The best games that I have found are made by a programmer named Soneso.
His website is: http://www.soneso.com/Site/start.html
and the installer source is: http://www.soneso.com/iphone
His games have kept me occupied for hours, I would also suggest iSolitare, Pool, iPhysics, and Tris, all of which can be found with the Community Sources installed!
Enjoy I love the iPhone when it is hacked!

Mobile Chat - Simple, easy to use IM client with support for AIM, .Mac, Gtalk, MSN and ICQ
Tris - A tetris clone. Tetris was like made for multitouch :p
Touchpad - an app that connects to your computer using VNC, you can use it as a track pad, keyboard, or remote. I mainly use it to control front row, since the default apple remote is a pain to use IMO

You should get it with Community Sources.

i'm really obsessed with iZoo which is basically Bewjeweled...
SwapTunes is a great app for syncing up to other iTunes libraries without losing your own files
Get Summerboard to change your themes and wallpapers, as well as Customize for other customization needs
Also, get the Flashlight app because you never know when you'll be left in the dark

Flashlight is definitely one of the more useful apps I've found.
The Dock and Poof combo is probably my favorite. Being a minimalist, I like having all of my icons hidden so I can enjoy the high quality of the screen with some good wallpaper.

If they are hidden, how do you access them?

Theres a small burst of light in the lower right hand corner that you touch and drag up to access all apps installed on the phone. Very smooth.

well ive just spent the last 30mins tearing my hair out because i decided to tryout POOF.
I had read from another forum how someone had hidden all the icons so he can admire the great screen/wallpaper that the iphone has and that the icons can be all bought back up by tapping in the bottom right hand corner.
he failed to say that you need to install the DOCK feature in able for this to be done.
so silly me decided to give it a go, i hid all the icons/programs etc and to my surprise i couldnt find a way to get the icons to come back up.
so upon googling abit i finally found the solution.
you need to SSH into your iphone with a computer and then navigate to APPLICATIONS/POOF.APP and save the info.plist to your pc hard drive so that you can edit it using notepad or wordpad.
edit the info.plist and delete the line " <string>hidden</string> ", then resave the info.plist and copy it back into the APPLICATION/POOF.APP directory .
reboot your iphone and then the POOF icon will appear which will allow you to unhide all the icons again.
i was so close to restoring my phone, thankgod for knowledgeable iphone users and google.

Here is the list of almost all available sources: http://iAppCat.com/repositories
Also iAppCat is a search engine that allows you to find the source for the certain app.
Moreover it allows to create a personalized search with applications selected from it's catalog.
