Buying an iPhone

Hi,

I may be buying an iPhone from eBay that is locked onto AT&T.

My main question here is will I be able to unlock it for use in the UK with ZiPhone?

The seller doesn't know what the firmware version is, however I think it must be 1.1.1 or later because the picture on the box has the iTunes icon on it.

ZiPhone will unlock all the way to 1.1.4 very easily so firmware shouldn't be a problem and unlocking is done in the same step so I think you should be ok.

Do you feel comfortable with the ebay seller with the seller not even being able to tell you what firmware is on the phone? New, sealed in box?
