Hey,
I am running an iMac G4 with PPC and was wondering how would I go about running some Intel software on it without Spending much cash. Is there any software like the opposite of Rosetta or something that I can get.
Thanks in advance.

For Mac Software, no dice if it is compiled as an Intel only app.
But for windows there was the MS Virtual PC application, which is basically painfully slow at best. For the cost of the application a cheap PC was alway a better solution.

not many apps are Intel only and the ones that are usually have a PPC version.

If they don't release a PPC version, generally there's no PPC Mac that would be capable of running it.

Not quite. Usually it's written architecture specific (ZSNES for example), someone forgot to hit the switch, or Apple wants to push people to Intel (like the SDK).

What the VoidBoi meant was that the devs knew that if they had made it Universal, the PPC Macs not be powerful enough to run the app.
