iPod touch Touch doesn't download messages from a POP3 account

I can't get my Touch to download messages from my email account. It is a POP3 account and it always shows the previews but just sometimes downloads the whole message. Usually it just shows the Message hasn't been downloaded yet message.


My iPod has the latest 1.1.4 fw and is not jailbroken, I bought the App Update.

Anyone experiencing similar problems?

On my gMail IMAP account it works well, but on my POP3 account from my ISP it doens't.

The Touch DOES work with POP3. The one thing I think you have to do is turn the "Use SSL" setting off for the account(I can't remember exactly how to do this, but Google Touch POP SSL and I am sure you'll find something). And it does take much longer than you would think to confirm the account info. But it works perfectly with my Verizon POP account since I set it up.

Well it does work sometimes on my POP account too, but not always. I'll try your trick.
