I think need to remove a cd from the drive without turning on the computer. I have the sunflower landscape iMac with the tray that pops out front. I was trying to copy a folder and got everything from home on the cd. I then tried to trash app and system files from Cd menu. Got colorful spinning wheel. Switched off computer. Now restart gives "panic" message. If I remove Cd mechanically, will computer reboot? I'm scared. OS 10.3.9
Thanks for all help.

It sounds like it could be another mechanical issue, but if you hold down the mouse button while the computer boots it will eject the CD.
