Have they written any usable widgets?

There are plenty of good widgets for Konfabulator these days. Of course, I still haven't paid for the app (they've yet to convince me it's worth $25).

which ones are useful? it is sort of hard to figure it out, being they are mixed in with a bunch of /junk/.

the site should have a sort that allows one to see the most downloaded ... that might be somewhat useful

One thing that annoys me is that some widgets suddenly stop working and become useless for whatever reason. I've gone through 3 different weather widgets that stopped working altogether, along with a CPU monitor that stopped reporting and a network monitor that stopped working, too.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with the weather widgets, but they stop working every month or so. The "official" Konfab weather widget gets updated a lot to fix these problems (why are there problems in the first place, though?).

It's things like this that keep me from registering Konfabulator. I'm not paying $25 for an app that ocassionally works.

pyrotoaster - The app always works. The weather widget however since it took data off weather.com was susceptible (sp?) to any changes on the weather.com website, but now in 1.5.2 since it takes the XML feed, it should keep working since, weather.com won't be changing that formatting anytime soon.

That makes sense, because it's always the weather widgets that would stop working every other week. It sucks, though, because I was a big fan of widescape weather since it was a lot smaller and slicker than the one that comes with the installer.
