azureus fast download speed

i am trying to find out how to make the download speed fast in azureus any ideas? 
STEP 1: Change upload speed to within 10KB or so overall
STEP 2: Make sure you have the appriopriate ports opened on your router (assuming you are home and on a home network of some kind)

Opening the proper ports on your router will do a lot in increasing your download speed. Lowering your upload will help too, but lowering it to 10kbps is not nice. A proper speed would be roughly 70 or so percent of your overall upload. Lowering your upload speed hurts everyone else, because BT works on the idea of sharing what you downloaded.

I only speak from the point of view of someone who has slow DSL and almost no upload speed to begin with. If I let it go unlimited, my down speed goes to nothing and forget surfing the net at the same time lol
