Sup,

I really want to run OS 9 somehow. I have the following set-ups:

really slow toshiba satellite with XP
Intel iMac (Jan '06)

Is there a way I could run one of the following legacy OS's somehow?

OS 9.2.2
OS 8.00
OS 7.5

I have tried Sheepshaver, but I cannot get a ROM and it doesn't support any of the OS's I have... Any help?

Cheers

Emulators, Inc.'s SoftMac is advertised to run MacOS 8.0 on standard white box Intel-based PCs. You will, however, still need a Mac Toolbox ROM file. Unless you have some obscure reason, you don't need to worry about System 7.5. Virtually any title that will run under System 7.5 will also run under MacOS 8. Also, the purpose of MacOS 9 was to transition the Mac from MacOS 8 to MacOS X 10.0. With precious few exceptions, MacOS 8 software will run under MacOS 9. What this means is that most productivity and entertainment titles that were released for System 7.0 through MacOS 9.2.2 will run under MacOS 9.
