While importing a CD in iTunes, videos drop frames.

This has to be a bug ... my friend and I have MacBook Pros and when we are importing a CD in iTunes, movies that are playing in iTunes get choppy. It has to be an iTunes bug, because we can import CDs in iTunes while playing movies in QuickTime just fine!

Does anyone else experience this?

It is normal. By trying to watch videos in iTunes and import at the same times, you are constantly calling interrupts in the code. When you are using QuickTime, the different tasks don't interfere as they are compartmentalized on the other CPU.
