Hey guys,

I have been trying to help a friend with his iphone. it is a 1.0.2 otb but have upgraded to try a few different firmwares.

The iphone has been unlocked with ziphone and also tried with independence. the trouble is that it just goes to sleep or dies and have to do a hard reset (holding home and power buttons)

I have tried resetting the baseband and also virginising it, but the same always happens. hard to tell when it happens as it will work for a few hours then, it will just shut down.

any help would be great

Get it into recovery mode by holding down the sleep button for about 30 sec, then while its off hold down the home button and connect to itunes, then restore and use ziphone to unlock, by far the easiest program to use.
