If I get my MacBook back I was wondering how do I uninstall RealPlayer or other programs.

I know in Windows you go to either "Start menu" and find the program and uninstall it there.. or go to "Add/Remove Programs."

But how do I uninstall a program in Apple OS X?

This is not entirely true, it could still leave some preferences and config files. I use AppZapper, and it clears everything away.

well i would say more often than not that's all it really takes

I have to disagree. I started placing just some of my apps into AppZapper, and they all had extra files that would be left on the system if just thrown into the trash:

Adium
Aperture trial
Firefox
NeoOffice
Cyberduck
Skype
Azureus
VLC
VMware Fusion
Toast 8

Thanks everyone.. and thanks to whomever mod moved this to the right location, sorry about that wasn't sure where it goes 😀
