Quick question... guys... playing around with SMC Fan Control a bit...

And it seems that no matter what I do... the Power Supply Fan won't increase above 600RPM.

A) Is this a software issue, or might I have a faulty fan?

B) Is this something to be worried about?

Thanks!

I've had the exact same experience. I think it's a software issue.

It's more likely that the power supply fan is self-regulating.

The power supply fan doesnt respond to the minimum speed command like the other 3 fans do.

Instead, You need to command its speed specifically.

I got a question about this too.

I don't have it yet, but whenever I use iSight the fan always turns on. Would it be fine if I turned the fan down. I looked at iStat and my processor isn't hot at all
