I have mild interest. I doubt I will be spending much time playing games on it; however, I think it will be a worthwhile just to try a game or two.

In the far future when I get an iPhone or a touch, I won't actually pay money for games. I'm not interested enough in them for that, but I might try some freebies. Solitaire would be nice.

I'm not terribly interested in the iPhone or iPod touch - neither one meets my needs very well at this time. Perhaps, when the iPod touch's Flash capacity gets near that of the 5G iPods, I will consider one.

Love my iPhone but am not interested in games for it. I use it primarily for checking email and web forums when I'm out and about.

I'm on the same boat. If I really want a handheld gaming device, I will get a NDS or PSP.
Right now, I just settle for some web apps for mini-games.

I'll probably never own an iPhone but could see myself owning an iPod touch in the next couple years. If and when that time comes I'd probably entertain trying out a couple games just to see if they're any good. I'm not much into games anymore in general though (but will be coming out of retirement for Starcraft 2! )

i am dying for native games for my iphone! there are a couple of places where i don't get an edge signal or have access to wifi and there are times when i just want to do something a little brainless to kill time. bring on the games!

I don't own an iPhone, or an iPod Touch, and probably wouldn't play games on it. However, I'd like to see native games come, especially to the iPhone, mainly because it would be a nice addition to the mobile gaming market. Maybe turn the iPod touch into an iPod/PDA + a gaming system. That type of thing. The iPhone has way more capability as a mobile gaming platform than anything else out there, (**** you, Sony!), and I think it'd be a worthwhile endeavour, even if Apple doesn't delve too deep.

I'm quite interested in iPhone/iPod Touch games, I may buy a few games. I'm especially interested in "Super MonkeyBall". :)

I'm hoping for games. I have a DS and a PSP, and still want games on my Touch. I'm willing to buy them, if necessary. The PSP can technically surf and check email, but not as conveniently as the Touch, and having the option to do that as well as play games on the go is appealing to me. Plus, the Touch is lighter and smaller to carry around.

So long as the games are much better quality than the current iPod games, I will buy one or two.

I have one game on my ipod off the itunes store, sudoku. I currently play bejeweled on my iphone from time to time with my web app. I know I will purchace a game or two when they come out. I think spore looked like fun. Since I got my 8g iphone on day one, it will be one year old on the 2.0 update. I'm thinking about getting a touch later in the year, like having more flash space for more apps. I hate cell phones but my iphone is used more than any phone I have ever had, thanks to surfing. I also have a PSP but never take it anywhere. Too much to carry around.

The right games hit, I'll buy.
I'm not a console gamer by any stretch. But if something truly shocking comes out that really shows off the technology in the iPhone, I might buy it just to see it.
Can't wait to see networked games where you can play against another iPhone anywhere. Latency could suck, but those issues will resolve themselves as technology marches on.

There is always a moment where I am traveling or flying and I don't have an internet connection on the iPhone. That is when I'll play games. But as far as spending much money on them? I don't think so, I'll be happy with any free ones that come out.

I would love to see a FPS that one can play on line with other iP and iPT users. I'm excited by the prospect of games and any other apps that increase the overall user experience on this hardware.

the touch fighter app that was demoed on the 6th looks amazing. I have a feeling that people are going to come up with some really creative ways to use the accelerometer. :-)

A few good iPhone games maybe. But about the only time I would have to play them is when I'm on a plane or something and then I wouldn't be able to have my iPhone on (if I owned one, or maybe I should say "when"). Now an AppleTV/DVR/Blu-Ray player with some killer games and real game controllers, I am all over that!! Give me two! Even if they are only classic games, but multiplayer that we can play together as a family.

I think that games are what the iPhone is lacking. Prior to getting an iPhone I would play games on my nano to kill time on the bus. It was a great distraction, i miss having games.
I could take a my DS or Nano but the reason I got an iPhone was so I could eliminate the amount of electronic clutter I was carrying.

I'd love to see native games for the iPhone. As a high school student, I'm bored quite often in class (History - when will I ever use it again?) and I would love to have games right there on the phone instead of waiting for Bejewled (http://static.popcap.com/iphone/) to load over EDGE.

You'd be surprised how valuable history can be. I am terrible at history, but am fascinated with my friend who seems to know everything about world history.

This is one more step towards the iPod/iPhone becoming the iPal, a real hand held mobile computing platform that runs almost all Macintosh software. That's what I want. I frankly couldn't care less about a phone.

Absolutely. That's what the iPT is. And when thousands of new apps come into play ...

History is used all the time. If you ever travel to Europe, there's so much history around that it's very useful to have some idea where things came from and why they are the way they are.
Ironically, I failed history at high school. A certain rum drinking incident whilst bored in class made certain of that! :o
As for the iPhone games, I'm definitely interested. I play games on my iPod Classic a lot. Especially Monopoly and Texas Hold'em.

I have a moderate amount of interest. I'll probably get 1 or 2 to put on there and have to play if I'm bored or looking to kill time, but it's not a main reason why I'd want to have the phone.

None whatsoever. The screen's not big enough for it to become an experience for me. God knows I game seldom enough, but when I do I want a screen of reasonable size. *having said that is considering hooking PS2 back up*
