I think the repercussions in Spitzer's life will prove to be worse in the long run. I bring that up because they both chose to engage in this type of illegal activity. While I'm not saying we should or shouldn't feel bad for one or both of them, this was both of their choices to the best of my knowledge, and while could be very wrong, I don't see this woman as a victim. At thousands of dollars an hour, I don't think that she is some kind of sex slave. She seems to have made a personal decision regarding her body.

Sorry to make this more of a political thread than it is intended to be. I am not trying to state any opinions on the legality of prostitition nor am I trying to discuss women's rights or women's choice issues. All of those topics, however, are linked to this discussion.

P.S. - In the interest of lightening the mood, all of the women on that "emperor's club" site were gorgeous. Too bad they didn't decide to be doctors.

well i certainly agree that they both made a choice and agreed that it has its repercussions. what bothers me is that she is paying the wrong repercussions for her choice. she's getting national headline exposure with her picture plastered on the front of papers and news sites. if she had been arrested for her choice and prosecuted as per the norm then, yes i'd agree thats appropriate according to the current laws. thats all that bothers me. its not as if she choose to have him as a client afaik.

Repercussions? She'll make a fortune off of this- just like Lewinsky.. They gave her a show on HBO for crying out loud!! She'll be fine, her song is all over the internet as a result of this.. If she plays her cards right she'll be set for life- if she doesn't she'll be on a bunch of reality shows and still make a good living..
