This may be a dumb question, but what mount is the lens?

Not a dumb question, I didn't say! :o

It's Pentax K-mount. It mounts on K1000s, K10Ds, K100Ds, and any other Pentax camera with the K mount. Huzzah for backwards compatibility!

Dang it, I've got a Nikon...

They sell Pentax->Nikon adapters, and seeing as the lens is manual focus/aperture anyway... you aren't losing anything.

will the ram

No

The only PowerBook it may work in is the Aluminum G4 1.67 GHz DL Superdrive/HD Screen model released October 2005 - none other. That Powerbook nominally takes 533 MHz RAM, so it should work, but it is not guaranteed to. Some 667 memory failed in that machine early on because it wouldn't clock down properly.

intrested in universal dock, I have a deal going with someone else but if that falls through I'd be very interested.

edit: can you confirm whether the dock is this old one:

or the newer one:

(the difference being the ir receivers size)
