I have a DP 800 with a combo drive in it right now. I am looking to buy a superdrive. I have been reading that Sony (dw-u10a) is making the one that is being installed in the newest macs as apposed to the pioneer ones they have previously used. Which one is better and where should I buy it? I have looked for the DW-u10a at online stores, but nowhere does it say that it is mac compatible, not a single store. Are there two different ones from sony? A mac DW-u10a and a PC one? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RAM is RAM,
Hard drives are hard drives,
Zip drives are Zip Drives,
And guess what CD/DVD drives are CD/DVD drives,

They are all interchangeable.

Just make sure your drive is on the compatibility list from Apple, or watch the reports on drives on xlr8yourmac.com...
