Yesterday I had put my iMac to sleep while I slept, and when I woke up I couldn't get the machine to wake up, either by moving the mouse, hitting keys on the keyboard or pressing the power button. I ended up having to power off the power bar the iMac is plugged into.

As a result, I was unable to save my Sims 2 game. What I'm wondering is if I can use Time Machine to recover the game to before I had to unplug the machine. I hadn't actually saved the game in a while, but I don't know if the back ups done by time machine would have a more current version of the game I was playing?

If I were able to restore it using time machine, where would I find the necessary files?
