Problems with spotlight

OK here is the problem

All my searches (spotlight, mails) on my leopard have died. I have tried doing sudo mdutil -E / and it tells me this:

sudo mdutil -E /
Password:
/:
No index.

Well, I have also tryed adding the root folder to the spotlight list that tells where not to look into and removing it.

I ALSO have tried MainMenu deleting all the indexes, system, user and font cache.

I have also tried Onyx and so on.

I don't know what to do.
