Iphone crashed/ froze cant do anything

just 20 minutes ago i was browsing the internet with safari on my iphone and it just suddnly froze

i cant turn it on off or anything. tyred connecting it to my computer and do a restore but itunes wont accept it as the message i get is

'Itunes could not connect to the iphone' because an error occurred while reading the device'

tyred holding the lock button down for a few seconds but nothing happens

any ideas what i do now?

i was maybe going to jut let it run out of power over night and maybe when i plug it into the charger tomorrow it may kick start it again? really ive no idea.

please help
