I just got a new ReadyNas+ and am trying to set it up with my mac (G5 Powermac) and when running the RAIDar setup
it won't see the ReadyNas+. I have the ethernet plugged into my Airport Extreme Basestation and don't really know where to start to get this to work. I read through some of the posts on their support site but can't figure it out. If anyone has any ideas on where to start I would appreciate it. I am running 10.5.2.
I am very new to NAS devices and was hoping it would be very easy to setup.
----------------
Edit, looks like the firewall was the problem, I changed the OS firewall settings to " allow all incoming connections" but am wondering if I am not secure now?
I have a Apple Airport Extreme basestation, does the basestation have a firewall built in to cover me?
I just want to make sure everything is still somewhat secure???
-------------
Thanks, Mark
