Deleted DVD player?!

I deleted my dvd player on my macbook by accident.I can see it in finder but it doesnt seem to open!how can I get my dvd player back??by the way I cant find my installation disc 1 .. HELP!!

You can't get it back without your install CDs. However, try downloading VLC. That should play DVDs.

If you go to Apple, and tell them your situation, they can install it for you (and perhaps even give you a new disk if you're lucky) 🙂
