Ok, so i just hooked up my Macbook to my CRT TV with the Mini DVI to Video Cable to watch some videos on my TV. After i was done, i unhooked the cables and the adapters, the Macbook screen went blue as normal and I thought it would revert back to 1280x800 but NO IT STAYED at 600x800. I then plugged my macbook into my Mini DVI adapter hooked up to my Samsung monitor and i can get it to mirror and screen span at correct resoultions, but once i unhook the Mini DVI to DVI adaptor my mabook screen goes back to 600x800 and theres no way to put it back in 1280x800 HELPP!!!!!

System Preferences > Displays > 1280 x 800

If that doesn't work, maybe a restart will help.

didn't work.

Called Applecare they told me to reset PRAM that fixed it.

Plugged it back into my Samsung monitor, and unplugged it to take it out. Still thinks a second monitor is attached and have to set the "second monitor" at a widescreen resolution to make macbook appear at 1280x800.
