Activity Monitor in OSX 10.5.2

I've been reading about crashes in Leopard, some problems with the Graohics Update and experienced some crashes myself. Sometimes I feel the system becomes slow and tried to check the Activity Monitor to discover if a specific app is bugging everything.

Is there a basic list of Process that should be running when I make a fresh boot ? I've noticed some strange ones there.

Here is a screenshot, what would be that ?

I thought it was strange cause I've never seen them in the top of the processes. But thanks anyway.
