Time Capsule as external drive?

So I just bought the 1TB Time Capsule and I am backing up 2 systems with it, a macbook, and macbook pro using time machine. Can I also use it as extra HD space for example to put photos on the Time Capsule drive? Or is Time Capsule restricted to Time Machine only?

You can use the drive to store any files you want. Time Machine will just use as much of the drive as it can before it starts removing old backups to make room for new ones.
