Hi, just got my mac pro and trying to install doom 3, i have the ub patch but cant use it because the original game wont install properly (wont open) any advise?

So are you saying when you put the cd/dvd in, you can't open it to drag the Doom3.app to the applications folder?
That's all you have to do. Then run the UB patch. THEN open the game. Don't try to open it before applying the UB patch.
It wont let me patch it because it isnt installed properly (just sitting in the apps folder, you need to open it (which creates its supporting folders etc) before it lets you run the patch and thats where im stuck, catch 22, cant install the patch cause i cant install the game, cant run the game cause i cant install the patch.
oh i also cannot force it to run in rosetta either.
