Software Update Can't See Updates?

For some reason, when I go to software updates, it just isn't working right.

It will look for updates, and find some. It says "New Software.... blah blah blah" but in the list box, there are no items.

How do I fix this?

try deleting com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist in /Library/Preferences and deleting the Caches in /Library & home/Library.
 
Yay, it worked!

Now I just have to figure out how to stop pesky Compressor updates from showing up. :x
