I am a HUGE fan of this game....recently got the urge to play it and am wondering if anyone knows how to run the mac version in leopard?? For that matter, is there any version that will run in Leopard and/or Windows XP??

Gotta love SMAC. Brad Oliver made a carbonized version of the game and I think a beta is available here: http://www.brad-oliver.com:8081/~boliver/SMAC_Carbon_b3.sit

I'm at work though, so I can't open the Stuffit file to double check that there are no issues in 10.5. However, I have run it succesfully in 10.4. I think you need the CD though - I assume you have one.

I can only get it past the firaxis logo then it usually crashes or just goes to the title screen and no menu options come up...any ideas??

I'm at work at the moment (west coast) but I'll give it a spin tonight and see what I can figure out.

Hmm. Didn't work for me in Leopard. But as I was driving in this morning, I recalled that maybe there is a full screen bug? I'll try windowed mode and see if that works. Now you've got me wanting to fire it up again. Best TBS game ever.

If you've got XP, though, you can make it work. Firaxis has instructions on their website on how to get it going.
