iMail Problem

I just got my Mac, but it's 10.3.x.
I tried to set up iMail after I re-install this Mac.
It wants me to put down the password for the Mac account.

maill.mac.com surver... I put down the password I created for Mac account.
I also want to use my gmail account...

Please help me!

Double check your Gmail and .Mac settings and security port numbers. There's no reason Mail shouldn't work if you've entered all the correct information.

Yes, even iMail:D worked back in 10.3.x.
