I have a podcast that is done using Skype, and would like to add sound effects and bumpers live instead of editing them in later. I've messed around with Audio Hijack Pro, but have not been happy with the results.

So my thought is, that I could get a cheap mixer, plug my mic and the output of my laptop into it, and then go back into the laptop Mic input from the mixer... essentially mixing the audio so that everyone on my Skype call can hear it (and it gets recorded).

Can anyone advise me on this? I found this board, which I think might do the trick (and is reasonably priced), but I"m not sure.

I have a MacBookPro 15 with 1.5 gigs of ram and an original Intel Core-Duo

Thanks in advance!
