Mighty Mouse 3rd Button

Using the iMAC i have in my sig ,occasionally my mighty mouses' 3rd button, (the two on the side) do not bring up all my windows. Its seems like it assigns another control on its own. Its been happening recently and if i restart my comp its fine, or if i reasign it, its fine.. any thoughts?:apple:

Sounds like a preference problem or a permission problem. I'd try trashing the mouse preferences file restarting then reassigning. BTW, the side buttons are button 4, the ball is button 3.

No, it will just go to defaults, then you can set it how you want.

any idea on why it changes on its own?:apple:

Usually due to a file corruption, so it defaults over when it hits the error.
