How to hide WindowsXP icon?

Just installed windows on my macbook, but when I'm in Leopard the windows partition shows on the desktop.
Is there a way to hid the partition?

Just unmount it in Disc Utility. You may be able to find an AppleScript or Automator that can do it automatically on startup.

I know, but thought there may be another way to hide the desktop icon but not unmount the drive.

You could just change the Finder Preferenced to hide all HDs, then put your main HD in the dock.
