Found this on AMD's site. Just wondering why Apple is working on another BUS system that it expects to become industry standard. Of course they're always trying to improve hardware. But do you think we may not see Rapid I/O, but see HyperTransport instead? The speed is stunning: bandwidth of 12.8GB/sec!

RapidIO and HyperTransport do different things. They're not mutually exclusive (for example, the nVidia nForce chipset uses hypertransport and the standard DDR 133MHz AthlonXP bus)
