I got my Macbook Pro on Friday of last week and I absolutely love it! but...for some reason Safari keeps crashing. what is going on?? is it user error? also, finder with sometimes freeze up and the color wheel will just spin for >2 minutes. Am I just paranoid about my baby? Thanks for the help.

try repairing permissions in Disk Utility and repairing your hard drive in Disk Utility on the install DVD.
