How can somebody's file got into my download folder?

I am working in an university environment. I noticed that there is a file in my download folder. From the contents, it should be belonged to a secretary. How can somebody's file got into my download folder? I don't think I have enabled file sharing.
 
Could you have clicked a link and inadvertently downloaded the file without noticing (until later)?

...or has someone else used your computer recently?
