I am really considering going to a Mac rather than a PC.
How well will a MBP 2.5ghz 512mb 8600m run WOW?

At max settings will I get good frame rates?

I've yet to try WoW on mine, but I have the 2.5 ghz with 4 gigs of RAM and I can run Warcraft 3 fine, while burning a disc, d\ling stuff, and IMing people. Though it will get hot when your using the graphics card a lot so be ready.

Works fine for me

I run WoW in Bootcamp and in OSX with no problems on my 2.4 MBP. It gets HOT. I prefer bootcamp because I can install faster nvidia drivers and use RMclock to keep the temps down a little.

Heck, I even run Guildwars on OSX using wine. Works like a champ.

All said, it runs things about as well as a mobile 8600 can, which is a lot worse than a desktop 8800.

I play wow on my MacBook C2D 2.0GHz, 4GB ram, intel GMA950 and the only time the screen stutters is when there's about 10 other players on my screen.

A MacBook Pro 2.5GHz, 2GB ram, 512 8600m gt should be fine:p
