Migrating iTunes Library to Windows.

So I have my powerbook G5 with 80 gigs of hard drive space. But it's already full, 15 gigs of music and much more in DV video just doesn't help. Now that iTunes is out for windows I want to move my iTunes library to my PC tower (currently acting as only a file-serve).

I tried ftp'ing all my songs over, that worked the best, but some files don't rename very well. What I'm really looking for is something that can move all my music and iTunes' data over to my PC. So that my playlists, my ratings, etc is all over on my PC.

Any suggestions? I've tried some obvious things like exporting and importing my library, not much help there though. It sounds nice, but doesn't work out well.

if you have a DVD burner, you can burn it as a data cd from itunes

Might try this, I think I have a DVD-RW around here somewhere... although I think I can only burn playlists... and my library is certainly larger than a DVD, but maybe I can get it all over in chunks. and then import my mac's exported library file - hopefully preserving ratings and play counts and such.

So burning to DVD solved one problem, the filenaming issue. Now I've successfully moved all my music files over to my PC. However when I export my Itunes library as an xml file and import it into my pc none of my ratings are imported onto my PC. And I get a message that says some songs couldn't be found.

any suggestions?
