Does parallells work for 3d games such as hl2, css, cod4? or do they only work on boot camp?

I heard Fusion now supports DX9.1, but im not sure if that is true. Maybe it would be worth trying?

You might want to have a look at CrossOver Games (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/27200/crossover-games).
Just pay special attention to what games it supports. Most of them are through Steam.

I think parallels is enough for games! It has a big list (http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/features/3d/). If you have more, use Bootcamp - no problems ))
