I'm curious if I can change the anchor point in final cut pro so I can have a picture start low and then come up higher. I know my way around fcp somewhat and I went to set a keyframe. I changed the value of the y coordinate and it won't move...I'm not sure what to do. Help?

From your description, it sounds like you should be using the Center control instead of the Anchor Point control. With the Canvas window set to Image+Wireframe mode, set your first keyframe at the point where you want the image movement to begin, then move the playhead to the point that you want the movement to end (set keyframes in the Viewer window's Motion tab).
