There`s a file that should be copied in:
/System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/
Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A/Resources/

While I`m on an intel Mac , I copied the PPC version (people make mistakes sometimes)

and relaunched the finder... and boom!

I don`t have a finder anymore.

PLZ help!

So you didn't backup your Carbon.framework or at least HIToolbox.framework before testing this?

Unless you have access to another Intel Mac to "loan" the framework from, the easiest might be an Archive and Install...

You do have backup, right? (Not that you should need it doing an A&I, but you never know...)

Yes, I do.
I have been backing up using Time Machine as well (if that helps).
