Looked everywhere also, couldn't find one. Ended up using Fantistics in Windows under VMFusion (www.insiderbaseball.com). Works great.

I'm also brand new to the Mac. But you shouldn't be afraid to install Windows. VMware makes an excellent virtual machine emulator, VMFusion, which currently sells at Amazon for about $40 after rebate. It actually gives Windows XP a new life -- it works better, faster and more reliably. Then you can take your time finding the right Mac software but in the meantime have access to the Windows programs you need, right along side the Mac programs. It's the best way to make the transition from Windows to OS X.

VMware Fusion is an emulated environment and any emulated OS will run slower than if it was running natively. An emulated environment will also not be any more reliable than if it was native.

Sometimes a virtual environment can be better, depending on the situation. Development and testing is very easy in a virtual environment and multiple virtual servers are starting to be used on a single piece of hardware.

I guess you maybe you misread what I wrote. Windows XP clearly runs FASTER under VMFusion with the 512MB of RAM I have allocated to it on my Imac than when it ran on a dedicated PC with 2GB of RAM. XP starts faster, programs (like Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop) start faster and run faster. Now true, the Mac is a Core Duo machine and I used to run XP on a Pentium 4. But still, the difference is noticeable, and I haven't gotten a single Windows BSOD on my Imac, whereas I would got one periodically on my PC. That, to me, and I would suggest to most people, translates to "faster and more reliable."

Two completely different misconstrued comparisons. VMware Fusion has nothing to do with with your programs loading faster or not receiving and BSODs. Any number of other factors do effect that however.

im just gonna use my mac with mac programs and keep it simple. but if any of u know people who make fantasy draft software tell them to make for the mac and get it ready for football season. thanks

yes thats true, but if i were to put windows on it id then have to use windows programs.

What sort of draft software are you looking for? I have used my Macs for years to use and draft in ESPN, Yahoo and Sandbox leagues. They are all web browser apps and thus interchangeable, so....what am I missing?

Im looking for the same thing.

A program for my Mac to keep track of my live fantasy auction.

We have a 5x5 money league- would love something that includes analysis and keeps track of each team and shows me how my team is put together so far.

Seen a few good ones- but they are all windows only.

Rumor is rotoworld may have something for the Mac soon- but I need something by the end of March.

I spoke to the developer of RotoLab (a PC tool I've used in the past), and unfortuntately there isn't a pure Mac solution. Just the same suggestions for any Windows based application already shared.

He did say that while the Mac market is growing, it's tough to develop and support another platform for a small niche product, though he is monitoring the Mac user community growth.

I'm hoping someone finds a pure Mac application and posts it here. Thanks!

Great news on the fantasy baseball draft software front, Fantistics (http://www.insiderbaseball.com) has released a Mac version and it's pretty slick.

I've been using these guys for years and have never been disappointed with their projections.
