Hi everybody

Ive got a C2D 1.83 Mac Mini running 10.4.11 server with out a screen connected. i use screen sharing, ssh and server admin tools to control it remotely

When using screen sharing i am able to view the log in screen on the machine. So i put my UN and PW in i then get the screen sharing widow open on the machine were i have to put the UN/PW in to log in to the machine.

Now up to this point every thing is fine. However once i put the account details in to log into that account. it logs in but the screen "messes up" i get horizontal lines across across the screen.

Ive tried setting the mini to use lower resolutions down to 800*600 but this has no effect and the problem persists. ive also tested with different accounts.

Ive booted the mini using an old image and it works fine so it doesnt look like a hardware issue. Ive also tried to use 3 different macs as the client and there all the same even with chicken of the VNC

One thing that i have noticed is that the problem only happens when the mini is not plugged into a screen. If the mini is plugged into a screen even if he screen is turned off with no power screen sharing works fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

*(ive put this in the main forum as although its running server the problem is with screen sharing which is in all versions of osx so ive stuck it in the general osx forum i this is incorrect please move the thread))
