So i basically just got leopard :D

unfortunately i need to upgrade from tiger to leopard without loosing my files or programs that i currently have on my disk, is there a way that i could possible retain my files when installing etc without having to spend time backing up the whole disk.

If not could anyway recommend a solid way of doing this, i don't want to take to much of a risk and backing up to me is completely poissible but my Macon External Hardrive isn't compatible with my mac and i can't find a mac driver so any advice on that would also be helpful!

basically i'm stuck! :(

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

Archive and install? That worked perfectly for me, didn't loose a thing. :)

You should backup whatever you decide to do. ALWAYS backup your data.

Archive and install would probably be the best way of upgrading to Leopard given what you have said.
