If it's glossy, it will say so somewhere on the page (usually next to the screen size and resolution). If it's matte, it won't.

"The current models support up to 4 GiB of RAM, though they ship with 2 GiB included. The memory front side bus (FSB) is still 667 MHz, while the processor's FSB is 800 MHz. The earliest models support a maximum of 2 GiB (two 1 GiB modules or one 2 GiB module). More recent Merom models based on the "Napa Refresh" chipset could have 4 GiB installed, but could only utilize a smaller and sometimes less efficient 3 GiB of RAM. It was inefficient if used as a combination of two different capacity slots (one 2 GB and one 1 GB).[3] When two 2 GB memory modules are installed the "About This Mac" shows 4 GB, but on these models the Activity Monitor applications reports 3.0 GB as the total amount of physical RAM available. Newer models can address and fully utilize 4 GiB of RAM without an issue."
EDIT: My bad, looks like the OP wants the old model. As of now, they only have the 2.2GHz that I can see and it says only 2 in stock.
You seem To Be forgetting the link i posted was for the 2.4 the Op asked for.

The amazon page has the info wrong as the other poster wrote that the model # for that MBP is the older generation (SR)

I didn't forget. I was just stating what they had in stock at the time. As teerexx52 just mentioned though, they now have the 2.4 he wanted back in stock.
teerexx52, I would recommend the new base model. The after rebate price difference is only $75 currently (new one is more). It's pretty much the same speed. However, you gain a much cooler running CPU with SSE4 instructions, multitouch trackpad, bluetooth 2.1, better battery life, etc. Easily worth $75. Only problem is that they don't have the new ones in glossy. Not sure which one you wanted since you only asked how to tell which one you're buying. I myself, got the new base model matte. Should be receiving it this week.
