Who makes the LCD display on the iPhone?

Just wanted to get an actual confirmation from anyone who really knows.

I've searched the web and haven't been able to get any definitive answers.

Does anyone know? I've heard that NEC makes it but I've not confirmed it.

I found one site that said various LCD manufacturers were involved:

Sanyo Epson, Sharp, and TMD (Toshiba Matsushita Display).

But heck, no one even knows what the color resolution is.
