So, I just downloaded Safari 3.1 and a securtiy update for my MBP (Runnin 10.5.2) and now I get the spinning color wheel at startup for awhile, and it takes about a second for Safari to close. Before, pressing CMD + Q would quit Safari instantly, but now it takes that second or two.

I miss my snappiness to my machine. I am still an OS X n00b, so is there any way to get my performance back? Can I revert back to Safari 3.0? No, I haven't been using Time Machine.

Thank you for any advice/help.

Reboot again and see if it continues to do that. You must always expect system to run a little slow the first few boots after the system has been modified.
